It’s finally arrived.   Every year Contact at The Guvernment offers Toronto an escape from reality to experience the feelings and emotions that only trance music can.  As far as electronic music is concerned, I don’t think any other genre comes remotely close to having the same global influence that trance does.    Simply put there are a lot of people looking forward to tomorrow night and there is a lot to be excited about.  You can expect that our Toronto Trance Family will be out in full force to support the likes of Aly & Fila, Simon Patterson, and Sean Tyas.

With such a dynamic line-up, you can be assured that you’ll be moving from start to finish.  Aly & Fila are responsible for some of my personal favourites like Fireisland and 2011 ASOT song of the year We Control the Sunlight.  Vocal trance will be front and centre for their set and I know I’m one of many who are looking forward to what they bring to the table.

Sean Tyas has been extremely vocal about his appreciation for the evolution of trance over the past couple years.  In several interviews he’s acknowledged that trance was the last of the genres to take risks, and the risks have paid off.  With that mentality driving his attitude I’m really excited to see how he plays his set.

I don’t think anyone will argue that Simon Patterson will be the most intense of the three.  His sound explores the deeper realms of tech-trance and psy-trance, and he’s one of the best for it.  The hardcore fans are looking forward to this one and I think the vigorous energy he will bring will complement the styles of the others.
